Winter Bathroom Renovation Ideas

Winter is coming, and with it comes the cold and dark nights. The best part about winter is that it allows us to take a break from running out and doing our errands. It’s a time to cozy up, relax, and indulge in a warm bath. Don’t get me wrong here; I love winter for so many other reasons too. But the thing I love most about it is that it is a holiday season with some relaxing time to spend with our families. So, it becomes very important to make our bathrooms as comfortable as we can to have a more enjoyable winter season. Today, I am going to share with you my favorite winter bathroom ideas and how you can incorporate these ideas into your own home.

  • Consider Installing a Steam Shower in Your Bathroom.

You can consider replacing a steam shower to take your showering experience to whole new levels in the winter. These are becoming more and more popular for a number of reasons. You will be able to enjoy a soothing and warm sensation that is perfect for a relaxing start to your day. In addition, that offers a great way to get rid of any tension you might have from the day before. The steam will help moisturize your skin and give you an amazing feeling of freshness. This feeling can last all day long, which is great for those winter days when you don’t feel like doing anything but relaxing.

  • Install Under Floor Heating

If you’re looking for a way to heat your entire home without having to use gas or electricity, then under floor heating is for you. Underfloor heating in the bathroom is a great way to keep your home warm during the winter and cool during the summer. It’s also a cost-effective way to heat your home, as it doesn’t require direct energy to operate; rather water runs through the pipes to heat the floor. The downside of under floor heating is that it takes time to install, and the upfront costs can be high. But overall, under floor heating is a great investment that will save you money in the long run.More Info About  Dumbbells

  • Towel Warmer

Towel warmer radiators are the perfect way to keep your towels warm and cozy while you’re in the shower. Therefore, it can be a great addon for the winter if you don’t already have one. You can simply mount them on the wall or keep them on the floor with a baseboard near your bathtub. It will not only provide you with a warm towel as you step out of the bathtub but also look in your bathroom. Other than that, it can help reduce energy bills as it will help warm up the space that you can enjoy without turning on the heating system in the whole home.

  • Install a Warmer Light

Many of you may like blue lights in your bathroom, but these may make your bathroom feel chilly and cold. Therefore, you will need lights that can warm up the space. For this purpose, you can switch to the yellow tint lights over the bathtub, or a wall hung toilet that will make your bathroom feel warmer and cozier.

  • Use a Heat Retaining Bathtub.

If your bathtub is cold, it will turn even warm water to cold quickly. For example, a bath made with plastic, or any similar material will not keep the water warm for too long. Therefore, you must choose a bathtub that is made of heat retaining material. We recommend choosing a single- or double ended bath made with acrylic, copper, or limestone instead of hard plastic. These baths can retain heat and can therefore keep the water warm while you are taking a bath.

Install Heated Toilet Seat

Whether you have a close coupled toilet, a back to wall toilet or love a wall hung toilet, it may be uncomfortably used during cold winter nights. To avoid this problem, you can install a heated toilet seat that is a kind of premium seat with a quiet closing mechanism. It makes using the toilet in winter very comfortable.

  • Use Anti-Fog Mirror

Anti-fog mirrors are perfect for winters when you usually have a warm bath or a shower. And water evaporates, making your mirror full of fog. It is a kind of mirror that is made with an anti-fog coating that prevents it from fogging up, so you can see your reflection clearly. So, it will save the hassle that you go through every time you sit into a bathtub or take a shower.

  1. Turn Existing Shower into Dry Sauna

A dry sauna can be especially suitable for the winter months. You can turn your bathtub or bathroom shower area into a sauna that safely reaches high temperatures. It makes you feel relaxed and promotes heavy sweating. In simple words, it is a kind of steam room that has wet heat and humidity. These are linked to many health benefits like reduced stress, improved sleep, and increased metabolism.
